Avtar Sehmbi’s career spans more than two decades developing and executing Operations, Technology, Finance & Risk Management strategies across Investment & Corporate Banking, Insurance and Professional Services. With a combination of deep discipline expertise and Board level execution, Avtar is focused on playing transformational roles bringing organisational propositions to life. Avtar is the lead automation researcher at The Currency Times LLP, with focus on developing algorithmic logic and subsequent automation using his Finance, Operations, Technology and Risk Management experience. Avtar’s research journey began in 2015 whilst at HSBC Global Banking & Markets, working on the development of market sentiment engines leveraging social media APIs and in parallel, as Digital currency innovations pushed the development of automation in retail markets, Avtar increased focus on algorithmic development and technical bot trade execution, integration, and implementation. Today Avtar’s research and strategy pivots on incremental risk adverse cyclical gains using Machine Learning, Automation, and the introduction of Artificial Intelligence.
